Our work bridges past and present through adaptive re-use, ensuring these sites remain vital contributors to their communities.

A History of Heritage Conservation

Regardless of project scale, we approach material selection and installation with rigorous technical precision, aiming to meet or exceed the protocol set by the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada.

Our team has successfully executed a wide range of projects as consultants, prime contractors, and tradespeople. Notable restorations include Fort Rodd Hill, Christ Church Cathedral & School, Tod House, and Morden Colliery, reflecting our commitment to preserving the integrity and cultural significance of historic sites across Canada.

Restoring Remnants of the HBC WarehouseConservation

Restoring Remnants of the HBC Warehouse

Situated along the Inner Harbour, the Wharf Street retaining wall stands as a significant remnant of the historic Hudson’s Bay Company’s warehouse and a prominent piece of Victoria’s waterfront history. We were commissioned by the City of Victoria to do a comprehensive replacement and repoint, addressing advanced stone delamination, brick deterioration and mortar failure. The aim was to preserve the wall with minimal intervention and considered heritage accuracy.
