From timeless stone walls, patios and walkways, to custom modern masonry projects, our team of artisan masons craft signature designs that are built to last and guaranteed to impress.

Heritage Masonry is unrivaled on Vancouver Island as a traditional stonemasonry firm with experience in mass masonry and structural construction. We cut and carve our own stone and we have staff who have contributed to some of the most significant masonry builds and restorations in Canada.

Founder & Business Development

Gavin Chamberlain

Gavin is the founder and heart and soul of Heritage Masonry. Although a Canadian by birth, he was raised in the pastoral countryside of England’s Lake District, the place where he fell in love with rebuilding traditional dry stone walls. With a passion for stonemasonry in the European tradition, he moved to Victoria, BC and started Heritage Masonry in 2011. Now over a decade later and with a Gold Seal Certification in Project Management, he continues to be the business developer and our man about town.

Operations & Financial Management

Liam Hall

Born in Alberta but living in Victoria since 1999, Liam joined Heritage Masonry in 2019, and incorporated his experience in project and operations management. He has made his career in the landscape trades as an entrepreneur, builder and mentor. He has a BCom from UVic in International Business, a Red Seal in Landscape Horticulture and Project Management Certification.
